Before you read anything else, answer these 5 questions about your current outbound. Be honest.

  1. How many separate campaigns did you launch last month? (1-2 / 3-9 / 10-30 / 30+)
  2. Does every prospect on your biggest list get the exact same email? (Yes / No)
  3. Can you name the specific reason each list is being contacted, tied to something true about THAT list? (Yes / No / Only for some)
  4. When a campaign sends 4,000 emails and gets nothing back, do you know your next move without thinking? (Yes / No)
  5. Do you build lists once a month and let them run, or do you build multiple lists every week? (Once a month / Every week)

Score it:

• Mostly the first option and "Yes" on question 2 → You are blasting. Start with the segmentation menu. This is your biggest lever.

• Mixed answers → You segment sometimes but not systematically. Go to the PCPL kill rules and the segmentation menu together.

• "Every week", "No" on question 2, "Yes" on 3 and 4 → You are already segmenting. Jump to the counter-seasonal chapter and the cheat sheet to squeeze more out of what you run.

Most agencies build one list a month and let it run 30 days. We build multiple lists every week, each tied to copy that is only relevant to that list. That single habit is the whole game.
